GLOBAL ECO HOUSING sending mobile medical clinic to Haiti.
Gary Winrow, VP Business Development of Global Eco Housing proudly announced today transport of their ruggedized Guardian Mobile Systems Mobile Medical Clinic (MMC) to Haiti through Gleaning for the World, an independent, non-profit, non-denominational humanitarian organization. Gleaning for the World (www.gftw.org) partners with over 31 humanitarian organizations in more than 55 countries on five continents while meeting or exceeding the standards of organizations such as: USAID; United Nations; International Red Cross; TechMD; and Charity Navigator.
With transport assistance from the U.S. Military and the U.S. Southern Command, Global Eco Housing and Gleaning for the World are bringing the mobile hospital to Haiti to help those in need following the January 12, 2010 earthquake. The Reverend Ron Davidson stated the “MMC would be fully operational within 15 minutes after it is unloaded off the port and that Doctors expect to treat up to 120 patients each day and see as many as 40,000 people each year. Physicians will be able to perform surgeries with the medical supplies already transported into Haiti from the Gleaning’s warehouse.” Gary Winrow added “the ruggedized MMC was designed and engineered to be transported in rough terrain and to provide a clean facility set up to handle small and intensive operations.” Reverend Davidson concluded, “key engineering features focus on: durability; electrical power generation; water; comfort; and total customization. These clinics can be customized to meet a variety of medical, humanitarian and remote access needs with multiple interior and exterior modifications to provide specialized use for virtually any rapid response remote access environment.”
