Eco-Panels selected for eco-resort housing at Maho Bay, St. John, USVI
Mocksville, NC - March 8, 2010

Stanley Selengut, known as the “father” of eco-tourism, and Glen Speer, Chief Architect for Estate Concordia Preserve on the Island of St. John, USVI,  announced they have again selected Eco-Panels (Global Eco Housing) to provide wall, floor and roof panels for construction of their next phase of rental units.  Previously, Eco-Panels provided panelization for Phase One of the development and these units are now available for rent through Maho Bay (www.maho.org).

Mr. Selengut advised “Our guests comfort is directly attributed to the highly efficient thermal envelope (walls, floor and roof panels) provided by Global Eco Housing”.  “Their system represents the best in providing “green” energy efficient housing solutions, especially for remote locations like St. John Island. With this panel system we attained an extremely high R value (R 40) and had the flexibility to select siding options and components that were within our budget.  Mr. Selengut also remarked on the ease of panel assembly with the one piece corner panels and the cam lock joining system that saved valuable construction time and increased the buildings structural integrity.”  According to Chief Architect Glen Speer, “the true savings will be realized long term, with lower energy dependence and panels supplied with termite resistant materials.  “We can’t wait to take delivery of the next four units as we have made a few upgrades and the end product will be even more efficient.”
